A Message from the PCL

Welcome to all the families in the Religious Formation programs at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. It is time now to register your children for the 2022 – 2023 RF program that takes place September through May.

We look forward to seeing you again and hope that you are excited as we are for the new catechetical year. Our program offers multiple sessions for grades 1-7. Confirmation preparation for 8th grade is only on Monday Evenings. The Summer RF program runs for two weeks in July plus children have to attend Parish events throughout the year.

The learning process for children at SEAS is dynamic and life giving. Children learn to love and love to learn. The true success of the RF program has been Parents, Catechists, and staff, who have contributed to the parish their God given gifts and talents. They are sharing their time and Gospel values of faith, hope and love with the parish children. We appreciate their effort and desire for the love of God.

We provide Catechist training, and prayers experience through the year. You are welcome and encouraged to come and learn more about your faith whenever you get the opportunity in the Diocese and in the parish.

FHC (First Holy Communion) & FP (First Penance) and Confirmation Sacraments preparation, is done during classes as well as learning sessions in the Church, on the weekends and during weekdays. Children learn all about their faith and love of God and how to say the Rosary. In October the Rosary is recited in the Church with the RF children.

We have seasonal learning sessions for RF and SRF children such as; Advent and Lent sessions, the Epiphany Pageant, the Passion Play, the Mardi Gras celebration, Trunk or Treat during Halloween, children celebrate Christmas by singing carols and reciting plays or skits on the Birth of our Lord. During Lent, children say the Stations of the Cross in Church and meditate on the suffering, death and Resurrection of Christ. Children have some quiet time to talk to God. RF celebrates Vocation week once a year with the children at SEAS, with sessions given by Priests, Deacons, Nuns, or Lay Leaders.

Teaching Mass: Once a year all the sessions have the opportunity to have a teaching Mass with Fr. Tom. Our children, Catechists and parents participate in these Masses; they really love to be there for the learning Mass. We are blessed to have a wonderful Pastor for our parish.

We are also blessed with the gift of Volunteers and Ministry Leaders. We appreciate their great support and amazing and sincere help. We welcome and encourage you to take advantage of the many programs our parish offers for the children and adults.

I would like to thank each one of you for all you do for the Mother Church at SEAS.

Much Gratitude and prayers,

Mariam Nawab, PCL
