Children’s Theatrical Ministry

Children’s Theatrical Ministry meets seasonally to explore and share our faith through Word and action.  Our children’s Liturgical plays are written and directed in a way that children of all ages are able to celebrate our faith  more deeply, in a multi-sensory experience, and at an age appropriate level.  Homemade costumes are creative and family discussion is encouraged.  Child actors, teen and adult assistants are needed in many capacities.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is usually held on the Friday before Halloween. Come dressed in costume and celebrate with a brief Prayer Service followed by dinner in the Parish Hall before heading off to the parking lot with your parents to search the trunks for treats!  Help is needed; decorate and share goodies from your trunk, bake, serve, watch the kids during the brief social time and monitor the parking lot as the kids trunk or treat with their parents.

Mardi Gras

Join us for a Fat Tuesday celebration followed by Evening Prayer on the evening before Ash Wednesday.  Games, crafts, lots of food, and a magician or other entertainment ensure a grand time!  Evening Prayer and a Liturgical and Solemn Stripping of the Church sanctuary in preparation of Ash Wednesday help children of all ages focus on Christ.  Help is needed in many capacities.

Vocation Talks

A Catholic vocation talk is a special time when someone visits to explain how God calls each of us to use our talents and love to serve others. They talk about different paths, like becoming a priest, sister, brother, or living as a married or single person who follows Jesus. The goal is to help kids understand that everyone has a unique purpose and that listening to God’s plan can lead to a happy and meaningful life. It’s usually held in January during all Religious Formation (RF) sessions.
